Organizing can be a daunting task but with help, it is achievable!

Work with client to organize rooms, closets, drawers, shelves, cabinets, etc
Pre-sort like-items so they will “have a home” and client knows where to place things in future
Box and label stored items (i.e., memorabilia); ready for movers
Arrange for furniture sale (online, consignment, estate sale, auction)
Schedule necessary services (organizer, handyman, landscaper, painter, electrician)
Organize shelves, cabinets (shelf lining available), pantries
Declutter countertops
Check food expiration dates
Spices - Did you know that you may have bugs in your spices (especially the red spices-chili powder, paprika)? Typically, spices are kept far too long. Tupperware containers are air-tight and will prevent bug infestations. Recommend the start-up kit for spices and staples (flour, sugar) in Tupperware Modular Mates.
Living Room/Family Room
Organize and declutter
Offer customized suggestions (outdated or worn furniture, consider slipcovers (see example under Photos - Living Room section), or check Craig’s List for gently-used furniture for sale in your area (pictures are often available).
Dining Room
Is room being used for its intended purpose? Or has it become a desk or storage room?
Review contents to determine appropriate storage system to recapture dining room for meals and guests
Bedroom
Closet(s) overflowing? Review contents to determine what to keep, donate, or purge.
Organize and declutter to transfrom space into a tranquil, serene environment to relax and unwind
Office
Organize and declutter office desk, drawers, bookshelves and cabinets
Sort paperwork by subject, review with client
Develop customized filing system; create file folders, label and file
Garage
Can you park in garage? Are you protecting the "stuff" instead of your car (typically, the most expensive asset after the home)
Organize and declutter; determine what to keep, store, sell, or purge
Establish storage system (i.e., sporting equipment, yard tools, holiday decorations, etc)
Basement
Organize and declutter; determine what to keep, store, sell, or purge
Review contents of stored boxes
Schedule charity pickups or trash removal
Manage yard sale
Overwhelming- Organizing an entire home is a huge project! Get help.
Family members want to help but are busy. Hire a Professional to provide assistance
Physically exhausting work (sorting, purging, moving boxes for charity pickups)
Focus - a Professional Organizer will keep client on track to reach the target goal since she has no emotional attachment to items i.e., family photos which can slow down progress
Decluttering before the move reduces moving expense, makes unpacking more efficient, and reduces stress
